About the Role
Ministry In Motion International Dance Theatre is seeking a dedicated and organized individual to join our team as a Volunteer Coordinator. This role is crucial in supporting the day-to-day operations of our dynamic dance theatre ministry. The ideal candidate should possess strong administrative skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for the arts.

Responsibilities
Recruitment and Onboarding:
Develop and implement strategies for recruiting volunteers from diverse backgrounds.
Conduct interviews and orientations for new volunteers, ensuring they understand the organization's mission and their role within it.
Training and Development:
Provide training sessions for volunteers, equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
Foster a positive and inclusive volunteer culture through ongoing communication and support.
Coordination and Scheduling:
Create and maintain a volunteer schedule, ensuring adequate coverage for events and performances.
Communicate effectively with volunteers regarding their assignments and schedule changes.
Event Support:
Collaborate with other staff members to identify volunteer needs for events, performances, and fundraisers.
Coordinate volunteer activities during events, providing guidance and support as needed.
Recognition and Appreciation:
Implement a volunteer recognition program to acknowledge and celebrate the contributions of volunteers.
Regularly express appreciation for volunteers' dedication and hard work.
Communication:
Serve as a liaison between volunteers and the organization, addressing concerns and providing feedback.
Maintain open and transparent communication channels to keep volunteers informed about upcoming events and opportunities.
Previous experience in volunteer coordination or a related field.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively and build positive relationships with volunteers.
Passion for the arts and a commitment to the mission of Ministry in Motion International Dance Theatre.
Familiarity with dance or performing arts is a plus.
