About the Role
The Artistic Director will guide the creative direction of the company and oversee the
development of five original choreographed works to be presented across four
community outreach programs. This leader will shape the artistic vision, mentor
dancers, cultivate partnerships, and ensure that each performance reflects the
organization’s mission and commitment to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ through
dance.

Responsibilities
Creative Leadership
Develop and execute a minimum of five original choreographed pieces.
Direct choreography for company dancers participating in outreach events and performances.
Collaborate with dancers, musicians, and other artists to bring creative concepts to life.
Provide clear artistic direction and coaching to ensure highquality performances.
Perform alongside other artists during outreach presentations.
Program & Event Oversight
Plan, coordinate, and oversee four outreach events, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission.
Engage community partners and stakeholders to promote events and foster participation. recommendations for future programming.
Evaluate the success of each event and choreographed work, offering recommendations for future programming.
Company Development
Host auditions and recruit new company members.
Teach dance classes, including community and student classes, and oversee outcomebased learning tied to event performances.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful completion of all deliverables.
Proven experience in choreography, teaching, and artistic direction, supported by
a portfolio of completed works.
Bachelor of Arts degree preferred.
Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
Effective project management abilities and comfort working under tight deadlines.

About the Company
Ministry In Motion, Inc. International Dance Theatre — a small, faithbased,
missiondriven arts organization — is seeking an inventive and strategic Artistic
Director to lead a diverse ensemble of dancers and creatives. This parttime role (10
hours per week) is ideal for a visionary leader who thrives in collaborative environments
and is passionate about using the arts to inspire, uplift, and engage communities.
